Qobil Xidirov is a journalist and blogger, the author and administrator of “Davletov.uz” — one of Uzbekistan’s most widely read socio-political Telegram channels. The channel describes itself as “observations and opinions — IMHO, a personal point of view” and has more than 77,000 subscribers as of 2026. As early as 2019 it ranked among the Telegram channels with the most expensive advertising in the country.
The channel publishes short, often ironic observations on governance, the accountability of regional governors, infrastructure, the budget and reforms. In a 2019 interview with Daryo he called the blogger phenomenon a product of the country’s recent openness and proposed “golden rules” for bloggers: don’t spread falsehoods, don’t harm society, show solidarity with colleagues and respect the law. Outlets such as Spot, Anhor and Kun.uz cite him as an expert.
